How we transport birds safely
Every delivery uses a climate-controlled vehicle with a secured travel cage sized to the species. The cage is lined with a familiar perch and a small amount of the bird's regular food. We avoid feeding 2 hours before transit to prevent digestive stress. In June-September (peak UAE heat) we schedule all deliveries before 11am or after 5pm. Birds are never left in a parked vehicle.
Summer delivery (June–September)
UAE summer is our most careful delivery season. We use a departure window of 7am for long-haul destinations (Fujairah, RAK, Al Ain, Abu Dhabi) so handovers happen before 10am. For Dubai deliveries we maintain a cool chain the entire route and keep transit under 45 minutes wherever possible. We'll let you know the exact departure and expected arrival time the evening before.
What the bird arrives with
Every bird arrives with: the closed leg-band record confirming captive-bred provenance, CITES paperwork for any Appendix I or II species (Hyacinth Macaw, Moluccan Cockatoo, African Grey, Palm Cockatoo, etc.), a health certificate where one is already on file for that bird (if it isn't, we can arrange one through our vet partners on your behalf, at your cost), a starter portion of the bird's current diet, and a 15-minute on-site handover where we walk you through the first 48 hours of acclimation and answer any questions.
Dead-on-arrival policy
If a bird appears severely unwell or unresponsive at the moment of delivery, do not accept the handover. Tell the handler immediately — the bird returns to our aviary the same day for an urgent vet check, and we'll WhatsApp you about next steps once we have the vet's findings. Do not sign for a bird you're not happy with.
