Why Fujairah families buy from Dubai Birds

Fujairah is the east-coast emirate we serve, and the buyer mix here is shaped by a distinct geography, a 90-110 minute drive from our Warsan 3 aviary across Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E84) and the Hajar mountains, a slightly cooler year-round climate than coastal Dubai, and an Indian Ocean humidity profile that's gentler on tropical-species feather condition than the Gulf side.

Most Fujairah buyers we serve fall into two groups. Fujairah-city and Sakamkam apartments tend to choose Cockatiels, Indian Ringnecks, and Green Cheek Conures, the noise threshold their buildings absorb without complaint. Villa buyers in Al Faseel, Al Hayl, and the Dibba corridor go for the larger species: Macaws, Cockatoos, African Greys.

We've delivered to Fujairah continuously since 2018. Lifetime aftercare is included on every Fujairah sale, diet questions at year two, vet referrals at year five, behaviour resets if the bird's life changes. The east-coast distance doesn't change the support; your first call still comes back to us.

    Delivery to Fujairah

Next-day delivery is the default for Fujairah orders. The drive is 90-110 minutes from our Warsan 3 aviary via E311 / E84, Fujairah city and Sakamkam are at the 100-minute mark, Al Faseel and Al Hayl are 105-115, and the Dibba corridor (north of Fujairah, technically a Sharjah / Fujairah / Oman tri-border area) is 110-130. Free across the UAE; you only pay on arrival.

We avoid mid-day handovers in June-September given the longer drive and the mountain crossing. The safest window is before 11am or after 5pm even with full climate control. For very high-value orders (Hyacinths, Moluccans, Palm Cockatoos) we'll schedule a 7am Warsan departure so the handover lands at 8.30-9am Fujairah time, before the day's heat builds.

The handover takes about 15 minutes: cage setup, climate-specific first-48-hours brief (east-coast humidity notes are different from Dubai), avian-vet health certificate, leg-band record, CITES paperwork for Appendix I/II species. Cash, card, or bank transfer.

Visiting the Warsan 3 aviary from Fujairah

The 90-110 minute drive each way means most Fujairah buyers don't do the in-person visit, and that's fine. We'll send video walkthroughs of specific birds, run a live video handover so you see the cage interior and the leg-band before delivery, and use WhatsApp for the detailed pre-purchase questions a phone call would otherwise need.

If you do want to come, worth it for first-time large-species buyers, we're open 9am-9pm seven days a week with free parking. WhatsApp +971 56 297 7042 ahead so we have the bird ready in a quieter handling room. The route from Fujairah is a single E84 / E311 run with no toll gates.

Climate notes for Fujairah bird owners

Two things to plan for that differ from coastal Dubai:

1Indian Ocean humidity. East-coast UAE air carries more humidity than the Gulf side year-round, generally a positive for tropical-species feather condition (closer to the Amazon / Indonesian rainforest baseline that Macaws, Cockatoos, and African Greys evolved in). The downside: bacterial and fungal risk in food / water bowls is higher. Wash daily.
2Air-conditioning pattern. Many Fujairah villas run AC less aggressively than Dubai high-rises, with windows open in shoulder seasons. Watch for mosquitoes and sand-flies near the bird, avian malaria is rare but documented in the UAE. Mesh-screen the bird's room if you keep windows open.

Buying birds in Fujairah, what to ask any seller

The five-question filter applies to every Fujairah option, east-coast private listings, pet shops, Dubizzle ads, and us:

1"Is this bird captive-bred or wild-caught?", only captive-bred is legal; ask for the closed leg-band.
2"What's the bird's age and weaning history?", fully weaned before sale only.
3"Can I see the avian-vet health certificate?", and the date of the most recent check.
4"What CITES paperwork comes with this bird?", required for many Cockatoos, Hyacinth Macaws, African Greys.
5"What's your support after the sale?", for a 25+ year bird, this matters even more 90 minutes from the seller.

We answer all five every time. If a Fujairah seller can't answer one of them, walk away.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long does delivery take to Fujairah?
Next-day delivery is the default for Fujairah orders, with the bird arriving between 9.30am and 11am the morning after you confirm. Same-day is rarely practical given the 90-minute east-coast drive across the Hajar mountains.
How is the bird transported safely from Dubai to Fujairah in summer?
Climate-controlled vehicle with stable AC, a secured travel cage sized to the species, sun-shielded windows, and a handler experienced on the E84 / E611 east-coast corridor. We depart at 7am in summer so the handover lands before the day's heat builds.
Can I pay on delivery in Fujairah?
Yes. Cash on delivery in AED is accepted across Fujairah emirate. We also take card on delivery via portable terminal, and bank transfer in advance for high-value orders (Macaws, premium Cockatoos) that need reserving before the vehicle leaves Warsan.
What does each bird arrive with on delivery in Fujairah?
Every bird arrives with: the original CITES paperwork (for Appendix I/II species), an avian-vet health certificate dated within 30 days of delivery, the closed leg-band record proving captive-bred provenance, a starter pack of the bird's current diet (seeds/pellets/fresh produce), and a 15-minute on-site handover briefing on the first 48 hours of acclimation.
How long does delivery from Dubai Birds to Fujairah take?
Around 90-110 minutes one-way from our Warsan 3 aviary via Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E84). Door-to-door is typically 3-4 hours from dispatch, scheduled next-day so the handover lands mid-morning before the day's heat builds. Free across the UAE; you only pay on arrival once you've inspected the bird.
Do you have a physical store in Fujairah?
No. We operate one aviary in Warsan 3, Dubai. Free next-day delivery to Fujairah is built into the price. The 90-minute east-coast run is in a single climate-controlled vehicle from Warsan to your door, we don't drop-ship from third-party breeders in other emirates.
What's the cutoff time for same-day delivery to Fujairah?
Same-day to Fujairah is rare given the 90-minute one-way drive across the Hajar mountains. We default to next-morning dispatch so the bird arrives between 9.30am and 11am Fujairah time, well before peak heat. Urgent same-day requests before 9am, message us on WhatsApp and we'll see what's possible.
Can I visit Dubai Birds before delivery to Fujairah?
Yes, and it's worth the drive for first-time buyers of larger species. From Fujairah city, Warsan 3 is around 100 minutes via E84 / E311. We're open 9am-9pm seven days a week with free parking. WhatsApp +971 56 297 7042 ahead so we have the specific bird ready in a quieter hand-feeding room rather than the main aviary.
How do you keep the bird safe in a 90-minute east-coast transit to Fujairah?
Climate-controlled vehicle, secure travel cage, sun-shielded windows, and a handler experienced on the E84 / E611 corridor. The drive crosses the Hajar mountains where the route briefly climbs, the AC handles the temperature swing without issue. In June-September we depart Warsan at 7am so the handover lands at 8.30-9am Fujairah time, before the day's heat builds.
Does Dubai Birds operate at any Fujairah pet markets?
No, we don't sell through Fujairah pet shops, fish markets, or any third-party retail on the east coast. Every bird is hand-raised at our own Warsan 3 aviary in Dubai with documented breeder provenance, leg-band ID, and an avian-vet health certificate. The east-coast retail model is different from ours; we don't operate inside it.
Can I pay cash on delivery in Fujairah?
Yes. Cash on delivery in AED is accepted across Fujairah emirate, Fujairah city, Sakamkam, Al Faseel, Al Hayl, Dibba Al Fujairah, Khor Fakkan area, and Kalba-adjacent corridors. We also take card on delivery via portable terminal, and bank transfer in advance for high-value orders (Macaws, premium Cockatoos) that need reserving before the vehicle leaves Warsan.
Are CITES papers transferred to a Fujairah-based buyer at handover?
Yes. For every CITES-listed species (African Grey, Hyacinth Macaw, Moluccan Cockatoo, Palm Cockatoo, etc.) the original CITES paperwork is handed over at delivery in Fujairah alongside the avian-vet health certificate and leg-band record. UAE federal authorities can ask for them at any future re-homing, vet visit, or international transit, keep them with your records permanently.
Which Fujairah or border-side avian vet do you recommend post-purchase?
Our recommended avian vets are listed at /vet-partners/. Fujairah has a small pool of dedicated avian-medicine practices on the east coast; many east-coast buyers route to Sharjah or Dubai-side vets on the E84 corridor for the most experienced avian care. We give you a direct introduction so the vet has your bird's file from us on day one. Annual check-ups typically AED 250-500.
What are the most popular birds among Fujairah buyers?
Cockatiels, Indian Ringnecks, and African Greys lead Fujairah demand, the east-coast climate (slightly cooler year-round than coastal Dubai, with Indian Ocean humidity) suits hand-raised tropical species well. Macaws and Cockatoos move steadily for villa buyers in Al Faseel and Dibba. Sun Conures and Green Cheeks are common among apartment buyers in Fujairah city centre.
What if the bird is sick on arrival in Fujairah?
Refuse delivery. The handler returns the bird to our Warsan 3 aviary the same day, an avian vet checks it within 24 hours, and we'll either deliver a replacement to Fujairah the next day or refund in full, your call. This is the 7-day health guarantee at /bird-health-guarantee/. The 90-minute return trip is at our expense, not yours.
