The Green Cheeked Conure is one of the most popular conure species and for good reason — they combine a playful, clownish personality with a quieter nature than most conures. They are small (about 26 cm / 10 inches), making them manageable for apartments and smaller spaces. Green Cheeked Conures are known for their acrobatic antics, love of cuddling, and mischievous sense of humor. They enjoy hanging upside down, rolling on their backs, and snuggling in pockets. While not the strongest talkers, they can learn a few words and are excellent at learning tricks. With a lifespan of 20–30 years, they make wonderful first-time parrot companions for individuals and families alike.
Diet
Small parrot pellets as the base diet, supplemented with fresh fruits (berries, apples, grapes), vegetables (broccoli, sweet potato, leafy greens), and limited seeds.
