Alexander Green Parrot
SKU: PET-1070
A beautiful, bright green parakeet known for its intelligence, gentle temperament, and impressive speaking ability.
The Alexandrine Parakeet is one of the largest parakeets in the world, named after Alexander the Great who is said to have kept them as pets. They are predominantly green with a distinctive rose-pink band around their neck (in males), blue-grey sheen on the cheeks, and a large, powerful red beak. Alexandrine Parakeets are known for their gentle, affectionate nature and impressive speaking ability — they can develop clear, articulate speech with patient training. They are intelligent birds that enjoy learning tricks and solving puzzles. Despite their large size, they are generally calm and easy-going, making them excellent companions for families. They need spacious housing due to their long tail and enjoy regular out-of-cage flight time. Lifespan is 25–35 years.
Diet
A balanced diet of parakeet pellets, quality seed mix, fresh fruits (apple, pomegranate, guava), vegetables (leafy greens, carrots, corn), and sprouted legumes.
