Indian Ringnecks are renowned for their exceptional talking ability — they can develop clear, articulate speech and learn extensive vocabularies of 100+ words. They are intelligent, curious, and independent-minded birds that can be wonderfully affectionate once properly bonded. They go through a 'bluffing' phase as juveniles where they may be nippy, but with patient, consistent handling, they become loyal, loving companions. They enjoy learning tricks, playing with toys, and showing off their vocal abilities.
Diet
A balanced mix of parakeet pellets and seeds, supplemented with fresh fruits (apple, grapes, pomegranate), vegetables (chili peppers, leafy greens, corn), and sprouted legumes.
