The Cinnamon Cockatiel features warm cinnamon-brown plumage instead of the typical grey, created by a mutation that reduces melanin pigmentation. This gives them a softer, warmer appearance that many bird lovers find irresistible. They retain the classic cockatiel personality — gentle, affectionate, and eager to bond with their owners. Cinnamon Cockatiels are known for their sweet whistling, head bobbing, and love of head scratches. Males are often talented whistlers who can learn tunes and melodies. They are an excellent choice for first-time bird owners due to their manageable size, friendly disposition, and relatively easy care requirements. With proper care, they live 15–25 years.
Diet
A balanced mix of cockatiel seed blend and pellets (50/50), supplemented daily with fresh vegetables (broccoli, spinach, carrots) and fruits (apple, berries). Provide cuttlebone for calcium.
